Stuffed Zucchini Blossoms in Yogurt Sauce
We continue our delicious Turkish food recipes series with a special recipe.
Ingredients
10 zucchini blossoms
1/2 cup cooked rice
1 small onion, grated
1/4 cup fresh dill, finely chopped
1/4 cup fresh mint, finely chopped
1/4 cup olive oil
1 teaspoon ground sumac
Salt and pepper to taste
For the yogurt sauce
1 cup plain yogurt
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
Gently rinse and pat dry the zucchini blossoms. Remove the pistils carefully.
In a bowl, mix the cooked rice, grated onion, dill, mint, olive oil, sumac, salt, and pepper.
Stuff each zucchini blossom with the mixture and fold the petals to seal.
Place the stuffed blossoms in a shallow pan, add 1/4 cup of water, and cook on low heat for 10 minutes.
Mix yogurt, garlic, and olive oil in a separate bowl to make the sauce.
Serve the stuffed blossoms warm, drizzled with yogurt sauce.
